My nine weeks of externship training passed so quickly. I am very happy and received good
training. I had a great time with the fellow externs, and Dr. Mehta’s family. I was invited to
join Dr. Mehta on the Lady Baltimore cruise where I enjoyed a great view of the Baltimore Inner
Harbor. Also visited Washington D.C. with fellow externs and had a great time. In the dorm, I
played table tennis. My fellow externs and I would play doctor and standard patients to prepare
for the CS exam. During the later part of the session, we enjoyed the jogging trails all around
the area. I really enjoyed the dorm and surrounding areas. Dr. Mehta’s campus concept with several
students is a great arrangement and I learnt a lot while having fun.
My medical training was superb. First, Dr. Solaiman (IM,GI) trained me. He encouraged me to
interview his patients, take their history, and do a very focused physical examination. He allowed
me to write patient notes and helped me improve my clinical skill case by case. My second rotation
was with Dr. Mehta. With her I was able to go on rounds in Maryland General Hospital, and University
Specialty Hospital. I also received good training in Dr. Mehta’s office. In the break time, Dr. Mehta
helped me improve my English. I had the chance to attend a pharmaceutical seminar on Crestor and
Exforge. My third rotation was with Dr. Li. I was able to communicate with Dr. Li in English and
Chinese. Dr. Li passed on a lot of his experience in how to survive in solo practice in USA.
Overall, I highly recommend fmgaffordable program to everyone wanting to practice in USA.

When I discovered the FMG Affordable web site, I was trying hard to find an observership
position to get some USCE. I immediately decided to come to Columbia, Maryland for the externship
positions which FMG Affordable offers. Mr. Mehta arranged for my family (husband and son) to stay
at Ms. Garcia’s house near the dorm. That was a very nice and comfortable environment for my whole
family. I was trained at Howard County General Hospital affiliated with the Johns Hopkins system.
My second assignment was with a family practitioner. I learned a lot at both assignments and got
good LORs. On top of it all, I got a part time physician’s assistant job with the family practitioner
after my training was completed.
Good luck and best wishes.

It gives me great pleasure to write this testimonial for FMG Affordable program and share my great
experience with other FMGs who are looking for clinical training in United States. I appreciated
Dr. Mehta and Mr. Mehta and FMG Affordable for providing me the wonderful opportunity working in US
clinical system. It is indeed a very good learning experience and of course a big plus for the
residency applications. It is worth every penny of your investment.
To obtain more clinical experience, I extended my training from 7 weeks to 11 weeks. Per my
request, I was trained in 4 specialties: Cardiology, Orthopedic Surgery, Psychiatry and at the
world’s best Shock Trauma Center (Univ. of Md.) in two hospitals. All doctors with whom I worked
were nice to me and very supportive. They gave me full of chance for patient contact and participate
in patient management.
I would like to give my special appreciation to the friends I met in the program. I not only
enjoyed the friendship with them but also got help from them on my step 2 CS preparation, which
made me pass the CS exam with no sweat. There is no hesitation or reservation in my recommendation
of FMG Affordable to all FMGs. Feel free to email me with any questions about the program.

It’s a great honor for me to write a testimonial for FMG Affordable. I am very happy to share the experience
that I had during my externship in Baltimore. I first learned about FMG Affordable from the AMA (American
Medical News) interview article. FMG Affordable helped me to find the best doctor. In my personal experience,
working with Dr Mehta was great. She was my first US clinic teacher, and she taught me everything that I
needed to know for my residency training. I was always amazed by her enthusiastic passion in teaching and
in clinical practice. She is, without a doubt, an ideal teacher for us. She not only has a good heart towards
the patients but also to her students. Most importantly, she also helped me find an excellent endocrinologist
in the hospital so that I had a great opportunity to learn and become more familiar with US medical system.
This experience will make a significant difference during my residency match. I feel very fortunate to have
known Dr. Mehta and I will never forget the great help that she gave me. Because of FMG Affordable, I met a
lot of good friends during my training and I wish you all GOOD LUCK in your residency match. I definitely
recommend choosing FMG Affordable for your externship. Last but not least, I truly wish FMG Affordable a great
success in the future.

It's my pleasure to write testimonial for fmgaffordable. I would like to share my experiences with fmgs.
Fmgaffordable finds good doctors for us. I was lucky to follow Dr. Mehta for several weeks.
I worked with her in her private office and university specialty hospital.
I not only learned medicine from her but also how to be a 'people' doctor.
She is not only a good teacher of us, but also cares about our daily life. Living in columbia,
I didn't have to worry about transportation or safety. I will never forget the time I spent here in maryland.
And I highly recommend fmgaffordable to all fmgs.

I, probably like many of you are doing right now, found out about FMG Affordable after many
hours spent browsing the web, trying to find a good externship. My main goal was to find a
place that would allow me to complete my required clinical training, and to obtain the necessary
LORs to be able to participate in this year’s Match. However, I ended up getting so much more.
First of all, FMG Affordable is the only company that offers training as well as housing
arrangements, which makes life so much easier. Also, sharing your day-to-day life with people
who have similar goals and expectations as you is a very enriching experience. You help each
other stay focused and make some goods friends along the way.
The clinical aspect of the externship was exactly what I needed. I got a chance to participate
in a wide variety of clinical activities including inpatient and outpatient management. I had a
chance to examine and present patients, and to participate in the decision process about diagnosis
and treatment. I was exposed to a wide variety of clinical scenarios, and I feel that I was able to
obtain a good grasp of how the medical system works in the US.
Dr. Mehta is an excellent physician who is very kind to her patients and students, who enjoys
teaching and who is always looking out for you. You can always count on her help and support. She
helped me greatly in the process of reaching my goal of getting residency of my choice. In fact, I got
two offers.
Also, recently Mr. Mehta started making some renovations on the dorm, greatly improving the
living facilities, so for all of you who are planning to participate in next year’s sessions,
you will be pleased to find a recently renovated and comfortable home. Good luck to you all.

I had the pleasure to do an externship with FMG Affordable and I really enjoyed and benefitted
from it. Since my first day of rotation I knew it was going to be a great experience, and after a
couple of weeks, I decided to prolong my stay. I recommend this program as a great opportunity to
obtain hands-on experience in the USA, which is an important requirement for the applications to
residency.
You are assigned to affiliated doctors in your specialty of interest, with whom you
will work very closely. This allows them to get to know you very well so they are able to give you
a good letter of recommendation, which is also very important for the application. Staying in the
dorm with the other externs was also very interesting. I enjoyed learning about their cultures and
we all learned from each other’s experiences related to the application process.
This is an excellent new concept in training, and I sincerely recommend FMG Affordable as a
great tool to strengthen your application.

I have great pleasure in writing a testimonial about my wonderful experience in this externship program that has given me such a boost in confidence and clinical experience. In last year’s residency match I have seen people with excellent scores going unmatched just because of the simple fact that they don’t have clinical experience. But my mind is at so much at ease because I have not only satisfied these criteria, but also got two great letters of recommendation. About my first clinical rotation I have mentioned it in a combined testimonial with Pankaj and this current one is about my second rotation.
My clinical externship rotation reminds me of a quote from Mahabharata, which is a great Indian mythology. In Mahabharata, a mythological figure by the name Arjun during his childhood days while learning archery is asked where exactly do you focus when you are targeting to kill a bird and he replies eye of the bird nothing else. This is exactly what Dr.Mehta provided me to help me pursue my interes t in Psychiatry. She hooked me up with Dr. Milan Joshi, one of the best Psychiatrists who is a faculty in Johns Hopkins and has been teaching there for the past 28 years. He has a really busy group practice where he sees around 50 patients a day starting at 7 in the morning and going on till 7 in the evening.
I was given the responsibility of assessing new patients right from the second day. He follows all the protocols that are followed in Johns Hopkins right from the format in which history is collected to formulation of multi-axial diagnosis to psychopharmacological and other measures in immaculate and flawless manner. He was really impressed by the passion I showed towards the subject and he not only gave me an excellent LOR but also went to an extent of telling he will call the program directors personally to talk to them about me.
My experience at Mehta’s dorm was a real memorable one with not even a single moment of boredom. Our batch had people coming from all across the w orld like America, China, Pakistan, India and Egypt. It was so interesting to know other cultures and share our own. We had unforgettable memories while we learned tennis with Mr.Mehta who really made sure we were comfortable at all levels both at our clinical rotations as well as at the dorm. I had great opportunity to pursue my hobby of photography at the picturesque places like Baltimore inner harbor, science museum and world famous Aquarium. I also had an opportunity to capture fireworks on 4th of July celebrated as Independence Day here. All in all it was a well-rounded enriching experience and I have no hesitation in recommending fmgaffordable to you all.

I am very happy to write this testimonial regarding my experience with FMG Affordable. I am going to
finish my 6 weeks externship program next week. I am very pleased that so far my experience here has been
very good. I started my rotation with Dr. Solaiman in gastroenterology. Being with him, I got hands-on
experience with the patients in his office with respect to history taking and examination, and he gave us
opportunity to discuss the diagnosis and management options. During this time, I also visited Harbor
Hospital and BWMC with him, which helped me understand how a hospital setting works in the US. Dr. Solaiman
took interest in making me understand every aspect of patient care.
I am presently doing a rotation with Dr. Silverberg in family medicine in his office. I can say
that I am having a wonderful experience working under him. I am allowed to examine the patients
and also do simple procedures like wart removal, etc. Also the spectrum of patients that come to
his office is helping me get more exposure to the practice in an office setting. Being with Dr.
Silverberg, I am also learning how important it is to be ethical in one's practice.
I am very thankful to Dr. Mehta for providing me with an opportunity to be with such wonderful
doctors. I am sure that this experience will definitely help me in my residency career. My heartfelt
thanks to both Mr. Mehta and Dr. Mehta for taking care of all my needs in addition to transportation
during the 6 weeks stay in their dorm.

I came to the US to fructify my dream of pursuing a residency, but looking at all the maddening crowd
and the tough competition that dream seemed to be light years away ... and in spite of sincere repeated
efforts I could not garner a chance for clinical experience in USA. That's when I heard about Dr. Charu
Mehta. As I arrived and started working with her, things seemed pretty good. They took good care of me
and soon I got acquainted with the working of the medical system in the USA. I saw a wide range of cases
with her in her office and in University of Maryland Specialty Hospital. Her ways with the patients and
the warm friendly nature was pure joy to watch and the interaction with the patients and the various
procedures which were conducted with finesse were really informative.
Currently I am rotating with Dr. Silverberg who is a board certified family practioner and geriatric
specialist. I would typically examine patients thoroughly and discuss each case meticulously with him.
I learned how important it is to be ethical in medical practice. The way he handles patients and the
clinic routines really helped me decipher the way a case is handled. I learned many simple out-patient
procedures such as wart removal, ingrown toenail, incision and drainage, etc. It has really boosted my
confidence and surely it is going to prepare me in the best possible way to be a good physician. Also his
warm and affectionate nature never made me feel like I was away from home. I will never forget his kindess
and his teachings. Thus I further cemented my inclination for medicine residency and now it seems possible,
because of the experience I have gathered in the many weeks of this externship. I really am out of words. I
cannot thank them enough for all the help and support.
Lastly, for all FMG's who are confused about how to go about USCE, FMG Affordable is a good way to
start your journey to residency in a US hospital.

June, 2008
Hello friends! I am a practicing physician from Mumbai, India. I did my internal medicine residency
in India and further, I aspire to be a neurologist. I am interested in clinical and academic
(research) facets of neurology. So I took USMLE and I fared well. But neurology is a competitive faculty
to get in USA. Also, US clinical experience is a must if a competitive program like neurology is opted for.
So I started looking for some US experience and started correspondence with universities here. Unfortunately,
in spite of good credentials, I couldn’t get any response from US universities for any kind of US clinical
experience. I incidentally hit upon this website FMG Affordable and thought maybe this is what I was looking for.
I was wondering whether somebody can really give hands-on patient experience and whether it can really help me
to get into residency.
I signed for externship program and was assured by Dr. Mehta that she will give me rotation of my choice,
i.e., neurology. And that happened. I rotated in a Neurological Center in Columbia, Maryland, and Howard County
General Hospital which is a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. The neurologist taught me and allowed me to take
histories and examine patients. I really could work on new patients by taking histories, examining them, keeping
differentials and formulating my plans and discussing with neurologist. She also provided assignments and discussed
important topics like headache, multiple sclerosis, vasculitis, seizures, stroke, etc. I also attended CME on
Epilepsy and Issues in Women by Dr Peter Kaplan, Director of Electrophysiology, Johns Hopkins, and had a chance
to interact with him on various issues in management of epileptic women. I was also fortunate to meet and learn
from another neurologist in the same office who took a keen interest in teaching and showing me interesting cases.
Such was his zeal that he would call for me if anything interesting showed up. He also taught me how to read
abnormal EEGs but at the same time he expected me to be thorough with my neurology knowledge and drilled me daily
with his questions, and fortunately I could live up to his expectations. I got an excellent LOR from my neurologist
as she believed that I was good enough to deserve that.
My next rotation was in Internal Medicine with Dr Mehta. I was rotated in University Specialty Hospital,
which is part of University of Maryland Medical System. She is a respected physician, I could see, in this
hospital as she had been in prime posts and very much a part of this hospital. Here too I interacted with and
examined patients. I did see a variety of patients requiring chronic care and on ventilator support. The
challenging part is sensing and detecting complications earlier and treatment at earliest, and she could
successfully manage that obviously, because of her vast experience. Hospital staff was very warm and hospitable
with me. I also attended the office consults with her and did see variety of patients and participated in their
care by taking history, examining them, interpreting labs and planning treatment options under guidance of Dr. Mehta.
I also wrote my term paper on "Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Hyperpnoea" because I came across many obese patients
who had sleep studies done and were diagnosed with this entity, and were on nocturnal CPAP treatment.
I found Mr. Mehta and Dr. Mehta very cooperative and showed good hospitality. In hours of need they were
always ready to lend a helping hand. Mr. Mehta drove me to the Neurological Center when transportation was an
issue. I made good friends and will always cherish the moments of my experience with FMG Affordable.

It gives me great pleasure to write this testimonial for FMG Affordable hands on externship training program and share my great experience with other FMGs who are looking for clinical training in United States.
1st Stint : My American clinical experience was baptized by Dr. Solaiman (IM/GI physician) who acquainted me with the American Health Care System in terms of the disease spectrum & also the social, legal, & financial aspects of practicing medicine in the US. In my tenure with him I was allowed to touch and examine patients and be a part of the diagnosis and decision making process in his private practice.
He also allowed me to accompany him to two major Hospitals giving me my first invaluable exposure to the American hospitals where the amalgamation of top-notch physicians with top-notch technology would offer patients the best health care available.
2nd Stint : My second assignment was at the Maryland General ER under
Dr. Rahmin S. Ligon, M.D., Director EMS Maryland General Hospital & her energetic team. I was marveled to see how code blue is managed in a state of the art US hospital.
In my 3 weeks I saw the management on cases of drug intoxication, joint dislocations, DKA, hematemesis, hypothyroid crisis, fulminant liver failure, acute MI, stroke among many others. But one case that will remain in my mind forever was the management of a case of hypothermia, which was the first case I witnessed there & set the tone for the rest of my stay.
The afternoon conference was a great opportunity to meet with the Hospital residents & several doctors of different specialties and join them in the discussion of the previous day’s cases.
3rd Stint : My American clinical experience was capped off at the world famous Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center & truly a privilege it was to see people who came in with very little hope, going home believing in miracles.
I first had the honor to work with Dr. Allan Philp, M.D., Critical Care Surgery at UMMC and his enthusiastic team. I was trained in the emergency management of trauma patients, which included F.A.S.T., & he also allowed me to follow the patients to the operating room then to the recovery room & then follow up with their care in the wards.
I then had the honor to work with Dr. Sharon M. Henry, M.D., FACS Associate Professor of Surgery & Surgical Critical Care, & Director, Wound Healing & Metabolism at UMMC & her dedicated, efficient & warm soft tissue team who together have set the standards of soft tissue wound care which has become a matter of measure for all those involved world-wide in soft tissue wound care to measure up to.
I was taught basic wound care and advanced wound management. The cadaver skin transplant and the hyperbaric oxygen chamber was novel to me. I saw the meticulous management of extensive Fournier’s gangrene, Hidradenitis and pressure sores. I saw limbs that would have been lost to infection and gangrene return to maximum functional capability; all of which I wish to imbibe into my own practice as a surgeon someday.
Conferences attended
I attended various conferences with fmgaffordable president Dr. Charu Mehta, M.D., Diplomate of American Board of Internal Medicine, which included
* A comprehensive Pri-med conference which focused on clinically relevant, practice & patient- care issues from nationally recognized experts.
* A Diabetes conference
* A conference on management of osteoporosis
* A conference on Hepatitis C management & new emerging treatment options
* A conference on Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm management by Stent Graft System.
I cannot thank Dr. Mehta and Mr. Mehta enough for having given me this wonderful opportunity for all what I have written is also going to be a part of my CV and if it looks good then the credit would definitely go to FMGAffordable and it’s creators.
I would also like to thank Dr. Mehta in a special way for the CS exam that I cleared recently because after having had such a wonderful Externship training the CS exam seemed like child’s play to me.
I wish FMGAffordable all the success and would recommend it to all FMGs aspiring to be practicing doctors in the US one day.

We, Joseph Sanal and Chandan Tripathy are IMGs from India and we learned about FMG Affordable
through Google search. When we looked at the website we were quite impressed with this goal oriented
total program. We signed up and started our training in the first 2008 batch starting Feb 18. We have
finished our first three weeks with an IM/GI physician. Normally we would have waited till completing
the whole six weeks program before writing the testimonial, but we are so happy and impressed with the
program that we have decided to write this interim testimonial halfway through the program.
Dr. Mehta had made an excellent choice of a teaching physician for us in Dr. Solaiman. After the
first week, Dr. Solaiman allowed us to examine the patients and be a part of the diagnosis and decision
making process. This was an excellent preparation for the CS exam, because we had the opportunity to
communicate with patients of different races. For example, it took some time in the first week to have
a black female patient to understand us and for us to understand her. So we would advise you to do this
training before your CS exam.
Dr. Solaiman trained us at his office and a nursing home and two hospitals, namely Howard County
General Hospital and Harbor Hospital (a teaching hospital in Baltimore). We had priceless experience
of how an established doctor in US doubles up in tertiary hospital and also his private practice.
The refurbished dorm has excellent Hi Speed internet WiFi throughout the dorm and a private study
room. We learned a lot from other students as well on this campus. Dr. Mehta and Mr. Mehta have played
the role of a God sent mentor and guide in helping us on our way to crystallizing our future dreams to
become practicing doctors in US.
In short, if you are seeking 2009 match we highly recommend that you contact Dr. Mehta for this
excellent externship program.

I have already mentioned about the three weeks of externship in internal medicine with Dr. Solaiman.
Now I have successfully completed my three weeks in the Emergency Room at a leading Baltimore area
hospital.
My education and work experience have been in India. My experience at the hospital gave me the
opportunity to see how a state-of-the-art hospital works in the United States. The hospital’s handling
of critically ill patients was an eye-opener. To further elaborate on this point, I saw how excellent
technology combined with outstanding physicians was used to stabilize critically ill patients who came
in with very little hope and went home believing in miracles.
Every morning, we discussed the previous day’s cases of special interest in the Internal Medicine
department. I had a chance to meet the residents and discuss various residency opportunities available
in Maryland.
I can’t thank Dr. Mehta enough for this wonderful experience, which I expect, will help me in my
clinical skills exam and the match. I enjoyed my stay in the dorm for the entire six weeks. I am extremely
thankful to Christine for providing daily transportation at a reasonable cost.
I found the Mehta’s to be caring and honest in all my dealings with them. In conclusion, I highly
recommend FMG Affordable for hands-on externship training. If anyone has questions or concerns about FMG
Affordable, please feel to write to me.

When I came here, I was too naive for this country...as a person...as a doctor. This program
gave me the opportunity to get used to the conditions in United States.
Interacting with the patients and getting the feel of inpatient care in teaching hospitals was
always going to help my confidence. Even talking with colleagues helped me a lot in terms of my
ability to speak fluently. My friends in the dorm (Doreen, Pilar, Zan) were always there to advise
me. I never had to look for any mentor.
Dr. and Mr. Mehta cared a lot for all of us. They were like 'family'. If we had any difficulty,
they were always there to help us out.
The location of the program is also important. Baltimore has plenty of teaching hospitals.
Getting LORs from somebody from Maryland helps a lot.
Overall, I enjoyed my time here. Besides I improved myself and I thank you, Dr. and Mr. Mehta,
for letting me be a part of this program.

I am an IMG from India and I learnt of FMG Affordable while going through the American Medical
Association website. Since FMG Affordable was the only externship program mentioned in the
March 26, 2007 AMA Newsletter, I decided that FMG Affordable was the way to go, and now as I am
finishing the program, I can say whole heartedly that I do not regret my decision.
FMG Affordable has provided me an opportunity to get acquainted with the functioning of the
health care system in America. The rotations not only provide good clinical exposure in the office
and the hospital, but also acquaint you with the social, legal and financial aspects of practicing
Medicine in the United States. You also have an opportunity to attend conferences with Dr. Mehta
where you are able to update your medical knowledge and interact with doctors from different
specialties. Besides the rotations at the University Hospital are really great because of the
plethora of patients you see with complex medical problems. Dr Mehta is great with her patients
and you will learn a great deal from her interaction with her patients.
I also enjoyed the company of other doctors from different parts of the world in the dorm.
Interacting with them was an enriching experience. Besides Columbia is a beautiful place with
lovely trails and I am sure that you would enjoy your experience.
I came in to FMG Affordable with some apprehensions, but I walked out with great confidence.

I am Dr. Naveen Desai. I am an IMG from India. I hope everyone knows how important clinical experience in US is
to get into residency, also to add to it the value of a good US LOR. Then I came across this site where they would
provide the FMG an opportunity to get some experience and LORs.
I really don’t know from where to start. I have had so many good experiences here. First thing I
would like to say is, this has been a very good experience for me, in fact it was far more than what
I had really expected at the start. As a totally new person in this country, there were so many things
going on in my mind, and I already invested so much into this. But soon I realised that it was the best
I could get. And it was worth everything. I was all apprehensive as to what I would be doing, where I would
be working, how my doctors will assess me and all that. But as I started my externship, everything felt really good.
I was given my choice of specialty i.e., family medicine and neonatology. Both the doctors I worked under were very
kind, they also gave me good LORs. I had the opportunity to get exposed to both primary care and intensive care.
I never realised how these 2 months went. I felt so homely here. I really have to thank Mr. Mehta for taking
care of me, always helping me in one way or other. He did help me a lot in preparing for my CS. This externship
gave a lot of confidence for my CS. With so much difference in the medical systems between India and US, this
externship has really given me a true insight into the overall aspects of patient care and the insurance point
of view as well.
Even though I did not have the opportunity to work under Dr. Mehta, I truly thank her for
assigning me to very good doctors. She gave the best options for me to choose. I give all my credit
to Dr. Mehta for all the best experiences I have had here.
In conclusion, I have very good memories from here I would always cherish, both personally and
professionally. I wholeheartedly thank both Dr.Mehta and Mr.Mehta for everything.

I am Chaitanya Karlapalem, an international medical graduate and I was in a situation where I
needed clinical experience in US to better my profile before I apply. That is when I came across
FMGaffordable.com and I believe it really has helped me get what I actually need--the real hands on
clinical experience. It is just not an observorship, but the real clinical experience. The doctors
they have in their panel are top notch efficient doctors in various fields and the best part is, we
get to choose our specialty in which we want to rotate.
I had two rotations, one with Dr. Mehta and the other in Surgery with an American doctor. I
loved working with Dr. Mehta, a real professional and her patients love her. I have had a lot of
exposure to both private practice set up and the university hospital set up which I feel is very
important to understand before one actually gets into residency. As a person Dr. Mehta is a joyful
lady, energetic and a truly inspiring person. She goes out of her way to help and guide students
let it be career or personal needs. Though I did not stay in the dorm, I used to interact with Mr.
Mehta very often and I found that he is very helpful and amicable. My interaction with this program
was complete and satisfactory. In conclusion, I would like to say that this program provides a unique
experience to international medical graduates in obtaining hands on clinical experience and I would
recommend this program whole heartedly. I also take this opportunity congratulate the Mehta’s for their
sincere efforts to help students and wish them all the best for their success.

It is an honour and a pleasure for me to write a testimonial for FMGAFFORDABLE. It is the only
place where I had a very good clinical experience when I needed it the most. Dr. Mehta is very nice and gives
you the sense of inspiration!!!! She is a very wonderful person, very experienced doctor, mature, amazing,
very dedicated and is there for you everytime. She does everything possible to help every student and treat
you as their own children. Mr. Mehta takes care of all other aspects required for a good stay and transport
and he is a gem of a person, very friendly, kind and helpful. I came to know both Dr. Mehta & Mr. Mehta
closely. They work really very hard to get the best US clinical experience for us and that too from very
fine, experienced and some of the best doctors. I also learnt many non-medical aspects of life. It was really
a great and a wonderful experience for me and I will always cherish each and every moment I spent with
fmgaffordable and will always remember them forever. It is the perfect place for FMG’s like me. May God bless

I have been extremely fortunate to be a part of FMG Affordable. Being an International
Medical Graduate, I realize what this opportunity means to me. FMG Affordable has
provided a holistic environment, which has been beneficial to me as an IMG in innumerable
ways. Some of these include:
1. Hands-on clinical experience.
2. Guidance in patient communication skills, which included English language enhancement.
3. Role of Insurance in US Medical System.
4. The Step 2 CS training module, which is a boon for those taking their CS Exam.
5. Making contacts in the medical world by attending professional conferences (like
Pri-Med) and pharmaceutical dinner presentations.
6. Participating in volunteer organizations to improve my CV.
Therefore, FMG Affordable training is all that a medical graduate can ask for, before
they step into the challenging field of Residency here in the US. I appreciate Dr.
and Mr. Mehta for providing me this opportunity. I cannot thank them enough for
making my experience here a memorable one.

It was my good fortune that I came across fmgaffordable.com while searching online
for some US clinical experience. Coming from the other corner of the world, I was
a bit concerned and unsure about everything. But, meeting Dr. Charu Mehta and Mr.
Mehta, relieved all my tensions. They are extremely warm-hearted people who made
everything easy for me. The most important part is that they treat you like a family.
They are always there for you no matter what. Dorm is a secure and comfortable place
to study or just to have fun playing pool, table-tennis or watching a movie on the
big-screen television.
I thank my lucky stars that I got the opportunity of being trained by Dr. Charu
Mehta, who is a gem of a person, one of the best doctors I've ever come across.
I will always keep in mind the "Pearls of Wisdom" she gave me. At fmgaffordable,
I found a family and friends, to whom I can turn to, not only today or tomorrow,
but for the rest of my life.

It is my pleasure to write testimonial for FMG affordable after completing my 7
weeks program. In my opinion, FMG affordable is the best program for FMGs who want
to make their profile stronger and be recognized as outstanding candidates for residency
matching process. This program provides all the help which a FMG wants. Dr. Mehta
taught me everything, right from US etiquettes to latest medications which she is
using in her practice which gave me a good insight about US health care system.
She always tries to rotate her externs with physicians of different specialties
so that extern gets wider experience. Attending lots of conferences and certified
courses with her has helped in building strong resume. Mr. Mehta who is coordinator
of this program helps students in all their needs including a lot of free transportation,
living arrangements and other social guidance. He has been very helpful to me. Due
to this program, getting research assistantship at Psychiatry Dept. of University
of Maryland became possible. Communication with patients helps in CS exam also.
Hostel is good and Dr. & Mr. Mehta act as parents for students. I strongly recommend
FMG Affordable because it has supported me not only at academic level but also at
emotional level.
